Christchurch- Māori Course
Whānau Mai – is a journey through pregnancy, childbirth and the early weeks of parenting that incorporates a Maori world view and traditional Maori birthing practices. This is a 6 hour programme run on different days in various locations across the city. Included in the programme are:
- Health and wellbeing in pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- Labour and birth
- After baby is born
- Weaving ipu whenua and using rongoa
Whānau Mai is provided by Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust and the Canterbury DHB.
